The Rolling Stones Share New Single Sweet Sounds Of Heaven Featuring Lady Gaga And Stevie Wonder

The Rolling Stones have shared a new song, Sweet Sounds of Heaven.
The collaboration with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder serves as the second preview of the British rock legends' upcoming album, 'Hackney Diamonds', due out on October 20 via Universal.
Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the seven-minute soulful, bluesy ballad was recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, Metropolis Studios in London and Sanctuary Studios in Nassau, in the Bahamas. With Jagger on lead vocals, Gaga contributes powerful backing vocals as Wonder delivers a masterclass of musicianship on keys and synths.
Both artists have teamed up with the Stones previously, with Gaga joining them onstage during their 2012 50 & Counting Tour to perform Gimme Shelter, which later featured on their 2023 live album, 'GRRR Live!'. Wonder, meanwhile, opened for them on tour in 1972.
Helmed by producer Andrew Watt and comprising 12 songs, 'Hackney Diamonds' also features bass by Paul McCartney on the track Bite My Head Off. Late drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, appears on two songs recorded in 2019, Live By The Sword and Mess It Up. The former also features piano from Elton John and bass from former Stones member Bill Wyman, who also plays on Get Close.
The band previously teased the record with the single Angry.
