Tom Odell Teases Upcoming Album 'Black Friday' With New Single Answer Phone

Tom Odell has shared another single from his upcoming sixth album.
Answer Phone marks the third preview of 'Black Friday', following the previously released title track and the single Somebody Else.
Penned by the Brit and Ivor Novello Award-winner, and co-produced with Cityfall, the introspective, acoustic-guitar-led track features a string arrangement and touches on themes of loneliness, while reflecting on loss and anxiety over a connection. Odell said:
"It’s a song that explores the idea of loneliness and the desire to be looked at, a longing to not be on your own. There’s a lot of shame in it, but there’s a degree of self-awareness and humour as well."
The follow-up to 2022's 'Best Day Of My Life' is scheduled to arrive on January 26. The singer-songwriter will support it with his biggest UK and European tour to date next spring, which includes two shows at London's Roundhouse. Tickets are on sale.
