Vuur are a progressive metal band from the Netherlands, fronted by Anneke van Giersbergen of The Gathering. The name VUUR is translated from Dutch as "fire", "passion", or "drive" to represent Anneke's metal side - a complete contrast to her acoustic folk solo work.
Vuur's debut album, 'In This Moment We Are Free - Cities', came out in October 2017, and they spent the autumn on the road with Epica. They'll play headline show at London's Tufnell Park Dome this December, and then go on to perform 5 live UK shows in February as part of a wider European tour.
