Dexys—formerly known as Dexys Midnight Runners—are a pop-rock and soul band from Birmingham.
Formed in 1978, the band grew to become a major chart force, releasing three studio albums from 1980-1986 that birthed their most popular singles Come On Eileen and Geno, which both hit #1. After splitting in 1986, the band briefly reformed in 2003, before returning once more in 2012, armed with a new album in the shape of 'One Day I'm Going To Soar'.
