The BBC Music Awards is an annual awards event run by BBC One, Radio 1 and Radio 2.
Formed in 2014, the event sees performances from some of the biggest names in music, as well as new talent, alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra. Awards include British Artists of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as a special award for the BBC Introducing winner, and new to 2015, will be the Live Performance of the Year.. In 2015 the event took place at Birmingham’s Genting Arena, and was hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton. Performances came from Little Mix, Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons, Jess Glynne, One Direction, Hozier, OMI, James Bay, Faithless and Rod Stewart. The line up is already shaping up well and encompassing the best of British music, catering for different ages and tastes. A very British evening could be well received as our music industry is definitely something worth celebrating and is continuing to improve and grow, impacting the industry on an international standard. I'm always one for an award show with celebrity pals being able to get together, so will hopefully be a good evening.
