The Ting Tings Reveal That Their Label 'Chased' Them Round The World

The Ting Tings have revealed how their record label chased them ‘around the world’ for their highly-anticipated second album.

The English duo released their debut album in 2008, to critical acclaim. But, since then, they’ve been working on the follow up for three years, and have only just finished. And, by leaving it so long, they got on the wrong side of their record label – and had to go on the run!

Multi-instrumentalist Jules de Martino told NME: “There was a period of friction. The label were chasing us around the world for it.”

The new record, titled ‘Sounds from Nowheresville’, is finally now finished and is set for a February 2012 release. They’ve so far showcased two tracks from the LP; ‘Hands’, which came out last year and featured on Fifa 12, and ‘Hang It Up’, which debuted on YouTube earlier this year. You can check the video for that below.
