Hanson To Launch Own Brand Of Beer

American pop-rockers Hanson will be launching their own brand of beer early on next year, it has been revealed.

The band were discussing the move at the Oxford Union and laid down their plans to begin selling their own beer, which will reportedly be a pale Indian ale.

Drummer Zac Hanson was particularly excited by the idea and told the fans: “It's vital our fans trust in everything Hanson do. We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I'm not joking – Mmmhop IPA anyone?”

The idea of the name ‘Mmmhop’ was taken from the name of their 1997 hit single ‘Mmmbop’, which topped the charts.

2011 has seen a number of bands take on a variety of weird and wonderful business ventures – Smashing Pumpkins have launched their own wrestling company, with KISS and Elbow also launching their own brand of alcoholic drinks – even AC/DC joined the fun, starting their own brand of wine.
