Madonna And deadmau5 Friends After Social Network Arguments

Superstar singer Madonna and electro house producer deadmau5 have seemingly patched up their differences through Twitter after deadmau5, a.k.a Joel Zimmerman, hit out at Madge for seemingly glamorising class A drug MDMA – the active chemical in Ecstasy.

Madonna was onstage at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival when she asked the crowd, ‘Has anyone here seen Molly?’ – Something which left deadmau5 outraged, because ‘Molly’ is a slang term for MDMA powder. The ‘Like a Virgin’ star had already received criticism for naming her latest record ‘MDNA’, which a lot of people thought was also a reference to the drug.

So, after taking to his Facebook and Tumblr to rant about the incident, Zimmerman then learnt that Madge would be joining Twitter for one day only – so he used his own page to continue his digs at the star.

He wrote: “You're a role model to 100's of millions. You have a powerful voice, EDM could use your positive influence, not ‘molly talk’.”

Madonna then replied by posting this picture with the message: “From one mouse to another, I don't support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song 'Have You Seen Molly?', written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album.”

Zimmerman then backed down (a rare moment for him) and wrote to the star, “Fair enough, i was just voicing my concerns as i usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally,” to which Madonna replied: “Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up "privately." ;) See you on the road.”

deadmau5 then concluded the conversation, saying: “Sure. regardless, just be a little more aware of what you *should* represent at EDM events, and ill watch my mouth.”
