Scottish soul and R&B singer Emeli Sandé has announced a short, autumn UK tour today, which will follow her summer of festival appearances and her first ever headline UK tour earlier this year.
The four November-time dates all take place in concert halls across the country and a couple of the shows will also help raise money for two different charities. The tour takes Sandé from Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium to Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, with gigs in Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall in between. Speaking of the tour and the charities she hopes to help out, Sandé said: “I was extremely happy to accept the kind invitation to become an Ambassador for the Prince's Trust, having witnessed the wonderful work that they do first hand and having met some of those lucky enough to benefit from the support which they offer.”
She continued: “As a former medical student, it's wonderful to see the therapeutic qualities and comfort that music brings, and that is seen nowhere better than in the wonderful work undertaken by the Nordoff-Robbins charity in Scotland who will be the beneficiaries from my Glasgow show. I'm looking forward to contributing in some small way to highlighting the work that these two organisations do.”
