York-based metalcore outfit Asking Alexandria have announced a string of 2013 UK dates today, as part of a promotional tour of their forthcoming third album.
Although the band have just released brand new film 'Through Thoughts + Self Destruction', which is a 'controversial, uncensored look into the real lives of a new era of rockstars for today’s generation', and are also already hard at work on their album, they're looking to the future and have pencilled in a few UK shows for January 2013, which should be just in time for the release of the new record.
The gigs will see Asking Alexandria performing in Dublin's Academy on January 15th, Belfast's Mandela Hall on January 16th, Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom on January 17th, before heading to London for a stop at the O2 Academy Brixton two days later on the 19th.
The band's latest album ‘Reckless and Relentless’ was a real treat for the metal/hard rock genre, proving to be something it hasn’t seen in quite some time. It managed to debut at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and sold thousands throughout 2011. Their next album is set reach even higher levels, and has been described as 'a musical baby of Mötley Crüe and Slipknot'.
