All you Girls Aloud fans have excitedly been waiting for an announcement for the past 10 days, with a countdown timer on their website tantalisingly teasing fans ahead of their much-talked about 10th anniversary. Well, now the wait is over - or so you thought!
As their legions of fans logged onto the site at 10am this morning - the planned finish of the countdown timer - they were greeted with a YouTube video (which we’ve also embedded below!) claiming that a live feed was about to start.
Unfortunately, fans will actually have to wait another two hours past 10am - because the planned press conference will start at 12. If any of you Girls Aloud fans had any fingernails left earlier today, we can imagine you’ll have a hard time not biting the rest off as the news of their anniversary celebrations creeps closer and closer.
Still, despite the slightly extended wait, a big announcement is due very shortly, and it looks like a brand new comeback tour could very well be on the cards, with tickets expected to go onsale next Friday, October 26th.
