deadmau5 Claims He 'Doesn't Care' About Electronic Dance Music

Controversial Canadian deadmau5 - a superstar electro-house producer and DJ deadmau5 has doesn’t care about electronic dance music and it’s scene, claiming that the whole industry works on a ‘minimal work, maximum profit’ basis.

Speaking at a conference in San Francisco, California, the loudmouth star hit out at the industry and it’s morals, claiming that he wouldn’t care if the genre was ‘burnt down’.

Mixmag were at the conference and quote the star as saying: “Burn all electronic music down, I don't care. At the end of the day, scenes don't evolve. Scenes are scenes. They're there and then they're not. The way I see EDM right now, it's a healthy industry for sure. Minimal work for maximum profit, right?”

He continued: “Today it's more artist driven, more about the producer as opposed to the guy who can string some tunes together. It's no longer a technological feat to string some tunes together.”

What do you think of deadmau5’s comments - do you agree, or are you getting sick of him constantly shoving his opinions everywhere? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
