IM:Ltd Unveil Latest Compilation 'Junction 12'

French label IM:Ltd have been cementing their position as king of the compilation album recently, putting out the wicked ’Purple Sky’ EP and the massive ’Rise of the Underdog’ LP in the latter months of last year. Thankfully, they’ve got a load more to come too, and their brand new ‘Junction 12’ EP is the latest installment in a long line of deep, bassy goodness.

Set for a January 28th release, it featuring tracks from staple IM:Ltd names such as Es.tereo, Gerwin, Mortem, and Atmospherix, as well as some relatively new faces to the label, like Quartz and S-VB - and it has seen much more of a darker, more dungeon-y style adopted in comparison to some of their more upbeat, soulful releases.

A stand out track on the album is ‘Amour King’ by Welsh lads Quartz. With incredible bass weight and the catchiest old skool riff, this is guaranteed to be pure danger in every rave it gets a spin at - definite rewind material. It draws similar comparison to some of drum and bass’s most seminal classic tracks - make sure you check that one out below!

As usual, Mortem brings some serious pressure too, this time with ‘Converter’. The track uses smart production to switch from a shuffle-y minimal roller to headnod-inducing naughtiness effortlessly, and features the classic Mortem sound which has seen him pick up many a fan in the past couple of months.

French duo Kantyze never mess around and ‘Tough Breaker’ is no exception to the rule, combining meaty subs and industrial sound percussion to create a sick and straightforward roller.

Es.tereo’s robotically narrated steppa ‘Junction 12’ - the EP’s title track - Gerwin’s minimal funk number ‘All In Your Head’, and Atmospherix and S-VB’s demonic ‘Modular Revenge’ make up the rest of this EP - you can check out all the tracks below.

Like previously mentioned, this release hits shelves on January 28th, and can be bought on either 3 piece vinyl or as a digital download - check out the IM:Ltd Facebook page here for more info.
