Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl Helps Trapped Miners |

 If there was anybody left out there who was not convinced that Dave Grohl was a gentleman of the highest order...
Two Australian miners who had been trapped more than 925 meters underground since April 25 received a letter of support from an unlikely source, Foo Fighter and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl.
To help the two men cope with their ordeal as rescue efforts went on around them, ipods were sent to them via a 16 metre long pipe alongside other, arguably, more essential items like food and water. Grohl, apparently hearing that the tunes of choice of the now released Todd Russell and Brant Webb were the Foo Fighters, had this to say in an email sent to Mine Manager Mathew Gill:
"Brant and Todd, Dave here, from the Foo Fighters. Hope you guys are hangin' in there, and hope that the music is helping you two out.
"Though I'm halfway around the world right now, my heart is with you both, and I want you to know that when you come home, there's two tickets to any Foos show, anywhere, and two cold beers waiting for yous. Deal? Looking forward to sharing them with you . . .
"Come home safe, and we'll see you soon. Dave Grohl."
The trapped men were reportedly "stoked" with Grohl's offer and have, unsurprisingly, agreed to take him up on the offer to share those beers.
Once again, confirmation that Grohl is, undeniably, a top bloke.
