Psych-rock duo MGMT have unveiled the music video for their track Cool Song No 2.
Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden have created their wackiest and most bizarre album yet within their new eponymous collection. Today they’ve unveiled an equally crazy video for its third single Cool Song No 2.
Directed by Isaiah Seret and featuring The Wire star Michael K Williams, the video has racked up over 120,000 YouTube plays already. Check it out below.
The experimental 'MGMT' has received positive reviews in the press - though the band admit it’s not the sort of record they’d listen to in their spare time. The rather bizarre collection of songs (one reviewer described it as ‘beyond weird, but in the best, most deliciously mind-bending of ways’) is streaming via Rdio right now. You can check out Stereoboard's review of the album here.
The duo will hit the road for a tour of the UK in October.
