Keane are set to take a hiatus following the release of their forthcoming 'Best Of' compilation.
According to reports in the Sun On Sunday, the pop troupe will go their separate ways, with frontman Tom Chaplin in demand as a songwriter and planning a solo record. "Keane are taking a break after the 'Best Of' to pursue their own projects," a spokesman told the newspaper.
Keane have scored five consecutive UK number one albums since 'Hopes And Fears' landed in 2004, including 'Under The Iron Sea', 'Perfect Symmetry', 'Strangeland' and the 'Night Train' EP. Their 'Best Of' is set for release on November 11.
