Depeche Mode Frontman Dave Gahan And Soulsavers Share New Version Of Cat Power's Metal Heart

Dave Gahan and Soulsavers have shared a new track.

Originally written and released by Chan Marshall (Cat Power) in 1998, the reimagined Metal Heart marks the first early single from the Depeche Mode frontman and Rich Machin's recently announced album, 'Imposter', due out on November 12. Reflecting on the song, the former said:

"It's probably my favourite at the moment. It was really such a great performance to record because it had this arc, starting as just this little thing which by the end grows into a monster, and to me that same arc also reflects the sentiment of the song."

With rich, immersive instrumentation, the slow-burning rework comes with a video featuring studio footage from the recording of the LP. Take a look below.
