Mavis Staples has announced a new album featuring Levon Helm.

'Carry Me Home' will arrive on May 20 via ANTI- Records and comprises live music from the soul legend with the late vocalist and drummer for The Band.

It was recorded at Helm's studio in 2011 in Woodstock, New York, and marks one of his final recordings before his death in April 2012 at the age of 71. The tracklist includes a mixture of tunes from both artists, along with covers of songs made famous by the likes of Nina Simone, The Impressions, Bob Dylan, and more.

Head below to check out the duo performing You Got To Move, a gospel and blues standard which has previously been recorded by The Rolling Stones. Staples said:

"It never crossed my mind that it might be the last time we’d see each other. He was so full of life and so happy that week. He was the same old Levon I’d always known, just a beautiful spirit inside and out."

Staples will play rescheduled shows in London, Stroud, and Edinburgh this summer, alongside appearances at Kite Festival and the Isle Of Wight Festival.
