Hollywood Undead Set August Release For Eighth LP 'Hotel Kalifornia', Drop New Song

Wednesday, 08 June 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Hollywood Undead have shared details of their eighth studio album.

'Hotel Kalifornia' will arrive through BMG on August 12, following up 2020's 'New Empire - Volume 1 and 2'. It'll feature the previously released singles Wild In These Streets and CHAOS, with the record built on themes of homelessness and the cost of living crisis affecting the band's home state of California.

Revealing their own stories through the LP, the group's Johnny 3 Tears commented:

"We were in a world of shit. The opportunities for failure were far more prevalent than the opportunities for success. We were hanging out with gangbangers and drug dealers. The chances of overcoming were very slim. We made something special together because of the heartbreak and heartache that came from all our experiences."

J-Dog added: "'Hotel Kalifornia' brings me back to a time when all that mattered was music. The only thing I gave a shit about was going to shows. That was it."

To accompany the news, the group have dropped a third single from the record, City Of The Dead, a heavy, gritty track that combines elements of rap, nu-metal and hard rock.

They'll join Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, and Bad Wolves on the Rockzilla Tour across the United States this summer. Tickets are on sale.
