Don't Give Up On Us serves as the fourth advance single from the American rock icons' upcoming studio album, 'Freedom', due out via Frontiers Music/BMG on July 8.
Fusing the band's familiar stadium-rock sound and piercing synths, the power ballad will feature on the LP, the long-awaited follow-up to 2011's 'Eclipse', alongside the previously released tracks Let It Rain, You Got The Best Of Me, and The Way We Used To Be. Founding guitarist Neil Schon commented:
"It is a very melodic song. It’s soulful, coming more from that R&B place and a little more Motown sounding but it definitely rocks. I feel like it's got Journey all over it."
'Freedom' is also the title of Journey's North American tour, the first leg of which concluded in Quebec City, Canada in May. Part two will kick off this July in Las Vegas.
