Journey Detail First Album Of New Material In Over A Decade 'Freedom'

Journey are back with details of their first new album of original recordings in 11 years.
The rock legends will release the 15-track 'Freedom' on July 8 via Frontiers Music/BMG, following up 2011's 'Eclipse'. Founding Journey guitarist Neal Schon confirmed the news in an Instagram post back in February.
The long-awaited record is previewed today by the energetic, stadium-sized rocker and lead single You Got The Best Of Me, which offers that signature Journey combination of vocal harmonies, glistening '80s-inspired synths, and six string goodness served up by Schon.
It'll feature on the LP alongside the track The Way We Used To Be, which the band released in June 2021. Alongside Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain and vocalist Arnel Pineda, 'Freedom' features the return of bassist Randy Jackson, who appears on a Journey album for the first time since 1986's 'Raised On Radio'.
'Freedom' is also the name of Journey's current North American tour with special guests Toto, which kicked off back in February.
