The Breeders Share Unearthed Track Divine Mascis Featuring J Mascis

The Breeders have released an unearthed alternate version of Divine Hammer.
Retitled Divine Mascis, the reworked 'Last Splash' track finds the hugely influential group teaming with Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, whose vocals replace that of sisters Kim and Kelley Deal, while adding some fuzzed-up guitar to the mix.
The previously unreleased cut will feature along with another archival track, Go Man Go — a co-write between Kim Deal and Pixies' Black Francis — on the 30th anniversary reissue of the 1993 album, which is out this Friday (September 22).
The band are currently in the middle of a run of North American shows, commemorating the milestone by performing 'Last Splash' in full, joined by special guests Belly, Screaming Females and Horsegirl on select dates. They're also appearing as support at a handful of Foo Fighters dates.
Next year, the band will appear as special guests to Olivia Rodrigo at the New York shows at Madison Square Garden and dates at Los Angeles' Kia Forum of her Guts World Tour.
The Breeders' most recent studio album is 2018's 'All Nerve', which marked the first LP in 25 years from the 'Last Splash' line-up.
