Weezer Announce 'Blue Album' 30th Anniversary North American Tour

Weezer have announced a North American tour.
The American rockers will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1994 self-titled debut LP, better known as the Blue Album, with a run of dates dubbed the Voyage To The Blue Planet. The band will take over arenas between September 4 and October 11, performing 'Weezer' in its entirety, alongside a number of fan favourites and rarities from throughout their discography.
Support will come from The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (March 15). Announcing the dates, the band posted:
"The time has finally come for you to join us as we embark on The Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour 🚀 🪐 We're celebrating 30 years of the Blue Album, and we’re bringing along The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr for the ride. Not only are we playing the album in full each and every night of the tour, but we also plan on playing all of your favorite Weezer songs, rarities and more."
Additionally, Weezer have lined up a special performance of the record at the intimate Lodge Room in Los Angeles this Friday, with Keanu Reeves' band Dogstar opening. Tickets for that date are on sale now. They said:
"By the way, Los Angeles, we’re playing a very special Blue Album show this Friday night (3/15) at The Lodge Room to kick things off. Consider this the voyage to The Voyage. Dogstar will be opening (anyone remember the first ever Weezer show?), and there might even be some other very special guests, so you won’t want to miss it or the tour!"
Weezer released their four-part 'SZNZ' EP project in 2022, following up their 'OK Human' and 'Van Weezer’ albums in 2021.
