David Brent is a television character from the TV mockumentary ‘The Office’ played by Ricky Gervais.

Since the show Gervais has played the character outside of The Office, including a guitar tutorial series on YouTube and a music tour in 2013. He released the movie ‘David Brent: Life On The Road’, in August 2016, as well as the album, ‘Life On The Road’. He returned to the stage for a show at London’s Eventim Apollo in September 2016.
