Finley Quaye is a Scottish reggae singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Edinburgh. Born into a family of talented jazz musicians, he earned a solo record deal with Polydor in the mid '90s and hit the big time soon after.
Quaye released his debut album, 'Maverick A Strike', in 1997. The same year he won Best Reggae Act at the MOBO Awards. In 1998, he found himself sitting pretty in the UK Top 20 charts and won a BRIT Award for Best Male Solo Artist. Quaye released his latest LP, 'Sycamore Seeds; Under The Sycamore Tree', in 2020.
