The NME Awards Tour is an annual tour curated by NME run in the lead-up to their yearly awards show.

The awards tour tends to feature bands at the forefront of the indie and rock scene, as well as new and emerging artists. Some of the UK’s biggest names have performed on the tour such as Glasvegas, Andrew WK, The Killers, Florence and the Machine, Interpol, Temples, Royal Blood, Circa Waves, Palma Violets, Fat White Family, Slaves, Bloc Party, Drenge, Rat Boy, and Bugzy Malone.

Interpol will headline the NME Awards Tour in March 2014, with support from Temples, Royal Blood and Circa Waves. NME Awards Tour 2014/Interpol Tickets are ON SALE 9AM TODAY, Friday January 24, priced from £21.60 plus fees.

Django Django have announced they will be headlining the NME Awards Tour in February 2013. They will be supported by three more of the most exciting live acts around – Miles Kane, Palma Violets and openers – Peace. Django were also recently announced as the headline act on the Laneways Stage at next years Field Day – taking place on May 25th in London.

The annual NME Award ceremony took place at the Brixton O2 Academy, prior to its television showing on Channel 4 on Saturday evening, and saw a glitzy array of stars turn up to watch the best bands and artists from Britain pick up gongs – with Noel Gallagher picking up the ‘Godlike Genius’ award for his contribution to music.
