Little Comets are an indie-rock trio hailing from Newcastle England. Described as ‘kitchen sink indie’ the band - consisting of frontman Robert coles lead guitarist Michael Coles and bassist Matt Hall - formed in 2008 and were briefly signed to Columbia Records before finding a home at Dirty Hit.
2011 saw their debut record ‘In Search of Elusive Little Comets’ hitting shelves peaking at #54 in the UK Albums chart and paving the way for their second record ‘Life is Elsewhere’ which came out the following year. Also breaking into the Top 100 (this time at #70) the album was followed by a critically acclaimed UK tour. Little Comets have now lined-up a fresh April 2013 UK tour - check below to find tickets.

Summery indie rock with off-beat rhythms is a very marketable sound at the moment, with the likes of Vampire Weekend and Bombay Bicycle Club making waves on both sides of the Atlantic. With that in mind, it is perhaps surprising that Little Comets have not made much of a dent in the British mainstream. Whilst they're certainly derivative in the sense that they slide into such a chart-friendly bracket, the Sunderland quartet sound remarkably comfortable with the path they've carved on this sophomore LP.
October is set to be a mammoth month for Little Comets with the release of their second album, ‘Life Is Elsewhere’ and their largest headline tour to date, including a home show at Newcastle’s O2 Academy on Saturday, the twentieth and a London headline show at Koko.
Following their acclaimed ‘Worry’ EP released in December, Little Comets are set to return to the fold next month with vibrant new single ‘Jennifer’, released on June 11th.
