Matthew Herbert is an English DJ and producer born in 1972. Also known by a number of other monikers, such as Herbert, Doctor Rockit, Mr. Vertigo, and Transformer amongst others, Herbert is one of the country's most experimental electronic musicians.
Often recording samples from random house hold objects and other bits and bobs, Herbert's music is impossible to pigeon-hole to one genre - sometimes he'll be reworking classical music, then he'll be creating a mind-blowing jazz fusion track, and the next, thumping techno/house style music.
