Missy Elliott is a rapper, singer-songwriter, producer and dancer from Portsmouth, Virginia.

She Began her music career in the early 1990s, as a member of the R&B girl group Sista, eventually going on to become part of the Swing Mob collective, alongside her longtime collaborator Timbaland. She began featuring on tracks of other artists, eventually going on to embark on her own solo career and dropped her debut album 'Supa Dupa Fly' in 1997.

She has since gone on to drop a further five albums, with the most recent being 2005's 'The Cookbook.'

Her efforts have earned her some of the highest honours in music, including four Grammys, an induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
