The New Orleans Saints are an American Football team hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1966, they compete in the NFC South Division, part of the NFL.

In their earlier years, the Saints were one of the NFL's least successful teams, but in the modern day, they have become real contenders. 2009 was a real turning point for the franchise - they notched up their first and only Conference Championship win, and then went all the way to the Super Bowl and won, in what was their only Super Bowl appearance ever.
