Nigella Lawson is food writer and television chef from Wandsworth, London.

Considering how much of a high-profile figure Nigella is within the culinary world, it's somewhat surprising to learn that she began her career in publishing and journalism, penning pieces for Vogue, The Daily Telegraph and The Observer, among others. It is, however, the grit and stubborn streak of her inner journalist that inspired Nigella to write her first cookbook, after her criticism of an unset crème caramel at a friend's dinner party left the host in tears.

Since then, Nigella has published fourteen cookbooks, including her debut, How to Eat: Pleasures and Principles of Good Food in 1998 and, most recently, Cook, Eat and Repeat in 2020. She also has a vibrant a well established TV career, presenting her own cookery shows as well as appearing as a judge on Masterchef Australia.
