Rival State are a New Zealand-based grunge outfit hailing from New Plymouth. Formed in 2002, the band consists of Luke Van Hoof, Nimal Fernando, Jo Einarsson, Stefan Einarsson, and Valdimar Einarsson.
Despite splitting in 2007 for four years, the band are now back in action at full force, and boasting a deal with Shock Records.
