Sam Fender is a singer-songwriter from Newcastle.
Having grown up in a household of musicians, he began playing guitar at the age of 10 and was writing his own songs by 13. He went on to land frequent busking slots in small pubs, where he eventually caught the attention of Ben Howard's manager, Owain Davies – and the rest is history. Establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with after winning the BRITs Critic's Choice Award in 2019, his debut album 'Hypersonic Missiles' dropped later that year, with his second full-length, 'Seventeen Going Under', following in 2021, earning him the Alternative/Rock Act BRIT Award and a nomination for The Mercury Prize. His third and most recent LP, 'People Watching', arrived in 2025. Sam Fender will take his People Watching Tour across the UK in summer 2025, with the run including three huge hometown shows at Newcastle's St James' Park and a headline slot at Silverstone Festival.
