Seasick Steve Tickets & Tour Dates 2015 / 2016
Seasick Steve is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Oakland, California. Born in 1941, he is today one of the most recognisable and iconic blues performers around, known for his unique take on the genre, blending in elements of folk and country.
Using personalised guitars and instruments that you know only he himself knows how to use, Seasick Steve had originally been touring and busking as a musician for years and years, but made his breakthrough at the start of the millennium.
After releasing his debut album ‘Cheap’ in 2004, he began to see an explosion in his popularity - famously claiming that he ‘can’t believe it - all of a sudden I’m the cat’s meow!’. His ensuing albums began to chart much higher in the UK - his 2008, 2009, and 2011 records all peaked in the Top 10
Though he doesn’t get major attention back home in the US, we have really taken to him in the UK and Europe, and he’s now smashed out sets at some of our biggest festivals and venues, including, Reading/Leeds, Glastonbury, Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh Queen's Hall, the Grand Opera House in Belfast, the Apollo in Manchester, and the London Hammersmith Apollo.
Seasick Steve's latest LP, 'Hubcap Music', came out in 2013, and was followed by touring through 2014. He's back on the road in April 2015, before he plays a Bristol Summer Series show in June. Check below to find tickets!
