Nu-metal/thrash outfit Soulfly is the brainchild of Brazilian heavy metal legend Max Cavalera, of Sepultura and Cavalera Conspiracy fame. Combining growling vocals telling stories of spirituality, war, and violence with stomping percussion and thrash-y guitars, Soulfly have built up a worldwide following since their birth in 1997, and have released eight studio albums.

Their eponymous debut album has since been certified gold, and each of their eight albums has charted in the Billboard Top 200 - their sophomore album, the critically-acclaimed ‘Primitive’, peaked at #32, their highest position in the charts.
