The Tampa Bay Rays are an American baseball team that competes in Major League Baseball, aka MLB. Based in St Petersburg, Florida, they're a relatively new team to the leagues, and would play their debut Major League season in 1998.

Though they were marked by a slow start to their time in MLB - nine out of their first ten years were losing - they've now become a fighting force in American baseball, and even represented the American League in the 2008 World Series, which they list to Philadelphia.
