Testament are a California-based thrash metal outfit that are considered one of the most popular of the 80s thrash metal scene, forming what some know as the ‘Big Five’ alongside Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax. Although they’ve gone through many a line-up change - guitarist Eric Peterson is the only consistent member - they’re currently performing with three original members; Peterson, as well as guitarist Alex Skolnick and bassist Greg Christian.

In their 29 years together, they’ve put out 10 studio albums - all of which have been of brilliant quality and managed to retain their signature thrash sound. Their latest, 2012’s ‘Dark Roots of Earth’, proved this by becoming their highest charting album ever, peaking at #12 in the US Billboard 200.
