Named after an Allen Ginsburg poem, The Howl and The Hum are a York-based band who experiment with electronic textures, transatlantic rock sounds and classic songwriting structures.
Their debut single, Godmanchester Chinese Bridge, became the lead single on their debut EP of the same name, which came out in 2017 and featured two other tracks; Manea and Terrorforming. The band released their debut album, 'Human Contact', in 2020. They followed it up with the live LP, 'Live at York Minster', in 2021.
