Vangoffey, real name Danny Goffey, is a British singer-songwriter, best known as the drummer in Britpop band Supergrass.
He started his music career in 1992, when he joined The Jennifers, who released a single on Nude Records, alongside future Supergrass member Gaz Coombes. Supergrass formed in 1993, and found instant success with their debut album, ‘I Should Coco’, in 1995, which reached #1 in the UK Albums Chart. The band released a further five albums, before splitting in 2008. Goffey started working under the name Vangoffey in 2006, and released a handful of tracks on MySpace, including I Feel So Gaye and Crack House Blues. In 2015 he undertook a handful of live shows, and released his debut solo album, ‘Take Off Your Jacket Off & Get Into It’. Vangoffey heads out on tour in October.
