Veruca Salt is an American alt-rock band based in Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1992, the group currently consists of Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro, and Steve Lack - the original line-up, who have returned following years with with stand-ins and new members.
Releasing their debut, 'American Thighs', in 1994, Veruca Salt would become one of alt-rock and grunge's favourite names, thanks to singles like Seether and Volcano Girls, which was taken from their sophomore effort, 'Eight Arms to Hold You'. Veruca Salt put out three more records over the years ('Resolver', 'IV', and 2015's 'Ghost Notes'), and are now back with their original line-up in 2017.
