Woody Allen and His New Orleans Jazz Band are an American jazz band featuring comedian, actor, director and musician Woody Allen.
Formed more than 35 years ago, the band play every Monday at Manhattan's Carlyle Hotel, performing songs by Sidney Bechet, George Lewis, Johnny Dodds, Jimmie Noone and Louis Armstrong. The documentary ‘Wild Man Blues’, follows the band on tour. They released their debut album, ‘The Bunk Project’, in 1993, followed by ‘Wild Man Blues’, in 1997. The band have performed at festivals such as Montreal International Jazz Festival. Woody Allen and His New Orleans Jazz Band is set to play an improvised set at London’s Royal Albert Hall in July.
