Yola Carter is a British country soul singer-songwriter from Bristol.
Starting her music career as a backing singer, she worked with the likes of Bugz in the Attic, Stax Band and James Brown, as well as performing with Massive Attack at Glastonbury Festival's Other Stage. She went on to form Phantom Limb, who released two albums, before disbanding. She released her debut solo EP, ‘Orphan Offering’, in November 2016 and is currently working on her debut album. She has headlined her own shows and tours across the UK and has supported the likes of St Paul and The Broken Bones, Sam Outlaw and Imelda Mae.
