Tour Of The Week: Catfish And The Bottlemen To Accompany ‘The Balance’ Release With Spring Arena Tour

Catfish and the Bottlemen will accompany the release of their third full length with arena dates this spring. Catfish and the Bottlemen tickets are on sale now, priced from £23.50/£28.50 plus fees.

With ‘The Balance’ set to arrive on April 26 through Island Records, the indie quartet have confirmed shows at Brighton Centre, Coventry’s Erixsson Indoor Arena, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena and Manchester Arena, as well as Irish dates in Galway and Dublin.

The 11-track album, meanwhile, was recorded in between the band’s summer shows in 2018 and finds Van McCann, Johnny Bond, Robert ‘Bob’ Hall and Benji Blakeway linking up with Irish producer Jacknife Lee. They holed up for over a year at two locations: Grouse Lodge, in Moate, Republic of Ireland, and the Chapel in East Lincolnshire. McCann said:

“We loved living in the same place. We were staying there the whole time, so we were waking up around each other and working until we needed to go to bed. Jacknife was always up. He was the first up and the last awake. It’s good when you’re completely engulfed in recording in a place like that, living together, because every day and all day it was about the songs. We had fun too; they were the funniest album sessions we’ve done.”

The news follows the release of lead single Longshot, which dropped at the start of the year. The arena dates will follow on from the band’s imminent sold out tour which commences in Nottingham on February 19.
