This Week’s New Releases: IDLES, Silk Sonic And Little Mix

There are some highly anticipted records out this week. Idles have dropped LP #4,  Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have released their collaborative Silk Sonic album, and Little Mix are celebrating their 10th anniversary with ‘Between Us’, which features greatest hits along with new material.

The legendary singer-songwriter will be accompanied by his All-Star Band at UK and European shows in January, February and March, including stops in Dublin, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham, and London, where he’ll play two dates at the Eventim Apollo.

He hits the road in support of his latest album, ‘American Standard’, released in 2020. Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST/10am CET on July 16.

Tori Amos

Tori Amos has announced plans to tour the UK and Europe next spring, kicking off in Berlin on February 16 and wrapping up at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on March 18. The UK and Ireland leg also includes stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Cork and London, where she’ll play two nights at the Palladium. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on July 16.

Little Mix

The pop trio have added three matinée shows to The Confetti Tour, with afternoon concerts lined up at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on April 16, Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena on April 23, and Manchester’s AO Arena on May 7. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on July 16.

Eels

Eels will take their Lockdown Hurricane Tour to Belfast, Dublin, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, and Southampton between March 11 and 18, with the trek expanding to European and North American cities later in 2022.

The shows  will mark Eels’ first in front of an audience since dropping their 13th studio album, ‘Earth To Dora’, with tickets on general sale at 9am on July 16.

Courteeners

Courteeners have lined up three warm up gigs in preparation for their huge concerts this summer, with stops planned at the O2 Academy Leicester, Stoke’s Victoria Hall and Halifax’s Victoria Theatre on September 7, 21, and 22, respectively. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on July 16.

The dates will take place ahead of their shows at Scarborough Open Air Theatre with The Coral, as well as their appearance at the rescheduled TRNSMT festival, and a huge homecoming concert the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground with Johnny Marr, Blossoms, Zuzu, and The Big Moon.

Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes

Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes have announced plans to tour the UK and Ireland this autumn. The trek will support their upcoming album, ‘Sticky’, the follow-up to 2019’s ‘End Of Suffering’, due out on October 15. They also have a European tour in the dairy for early 2022, which kicks off with shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on January 21 and 22. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on July 16.

Aurora

The Norwegian singer-songwriter will embark on a UK and European tour beginning in Milan on February 13 and wrapping up at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on April 6. The UK and Ireland leg also includes stops in Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol. Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST/10am EST on July 16. Her last album was ‘A Different Kind Of Human – Step 2’, released in 2019.

Avatar

The Swedish metallers will hit Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Southampton and London, where they’ll take over the O2 Forum Kentish Town on January 15, before heading to cities across Europe in February and March.
