This Week’s New Releases: The Decemberists, Snoop Dogg And Stone Temple Pilots

Spring has sprung and along with it has come a buttload of new records. The Decemberists have followed up 2015’s ‘What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World’ LP and ‘florasongs’ EP, Snoop Dogg has released a gospel album, and Stone Temple Pilots have put out their first full-length with new singer Jeff Gutt, who follows in the footsteps of the late Chester Bennington and Scott Weiland.

This Week’s New Releases: Fischerspooner, Wild Beasts And Superchunk

This week is bonkers busy! Fischerspooner have finally put out ‘Sir’, the follow up to 2009’s ‘Entertainment’, which was co-written and co-produced by R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe and Boots. Wild Beasts have released a live LP, ‘Last Night All My Dreams Came True’, which will be their final output following the announcement of their split in September 2017.

You’ve also got a new one from Superchunk, their first since 2013, which boasts appearances by Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, Magnetic Fields leader Stephin Merritt, A Giant Dog’s Sabrina Ellis, Skylar Gudasz, and David Bazan.

It’s another busy week for new releases. Justin Timberlake has put out the follow up to 2013’s ‘The 20/20 Experience’, which boasts guest appearances by Chris Stapleton and Alicia Keys, as well as production by Timbaland and the Neptunes, among others.
