‘I can’t believe I’m seeing Slash play live today’. Words I can remember saying to a mate while trying to distract my mind from what horrors lay beyond the queue for the mud-splashed festival chemical bog. Come to think of it, I hope that was mud.

It was a weekend where most of the UK were donning red and white for the opener of England’s world cup campaign, however it was back in black for a massive crowd who had collected in a field in the Midlands. AC/DC were back in town!

Travel back about one year from now and this Smiths-esque American band were playing their first ever gigs. Now one succesful year on, New York outfit The Drums have confirmed a lengthy British tour set to hit the road in November.

Good Charlotte have announced details of a one-off London show.
Set to take place at Koko on Tuesday 27th July, the band will be showcasing material from their upcoming new album ‘Cardiology’ which is set for release in the Autumn on Columbia Records.
