Countdown Begins For Girls Aloud 10th Anniversary Reunion Tour

Girls will be going hysteric, while men will be drooling from the mouth. Yes, the countdown has already begun for the 10 year anniversary reunion of Girls Aloud, and it’s not just Nicola Roberts who is excited about it.

The singer has confessed to be feeling “really excited” about the prospect of next year’s concerts and achieving a successful milestone with the girls.

She said: "It's a whole year away yet, I feel like whatever's said should be said as a band, it's kind of not up to me to say anything, but obviously it's really exciting."

Over the last few years, the girls have dispersed, with Cheryl having troubled times in her marriage, whilst becoming an X Factor judge that ended acrimoniously, and Sarah Harding is only just out of rehab for depression and alcohol addiction.

On a recent night out Kimberley conversed that “she can’t wait to have her [Sarah] home” and the girls are all waiting to see her.

Whereas most of the girls have ultimately took to modelling at some point, Nadine, Cheryl and Nicola all attempted solo careers, however, Nicola adapted her business ethic to become a successful entrepreneur, selling make-up products and producing documentaries.

So far the girls have amassed an impressive £25 million fortune and it is no wonder they are all looking forward to reuniting.

Nicola added: “It'll be lovely for us to be in each other's company again together as a band and nice for the fans as well."

“We've been together for nearly 10 years. We have a lot of history and our relationship is a lot more deep-rooted than just a surface-based thing, so just because you don't see somebody for a little while I think the history's there and will always be there and the dynamic is so strong between us.”

But being the baby of the group, Nicola has admitted her personality is bound to have changed through the years as the group have evolved into a successful girl band and franchise.

She said: “I think because I used to be so shy, and I was so young. I auditioned for the band when I was 16 years old. I think naturally from just leaving school to growing up and being 26, everybody changes anyway don't they?"

Although no official date has been given for the tour, expect the girls to be onstage anytime from September to December 2012 (the dates that will actually mark the 10 year anniversary of 'Popstars: the Rivals', the TV show on which the girls met).
