American indie rockers The Walkmen are to return with an Autumn UK tour following their sold out June date at London's Village Underground. Tickets for The Walkmen are onsale this Friday at 9am.
The forthcoming London show will see The Walkmen giving a rare intimate performance and will come just a week after the release of 'Heaven', which will be their seventh studio album. Tickets are on sale now.
The Walkmen formed back in 2000 after members of Jonathan Fire*Eater and The Recoys joined forces. The New York-based band put out their first album 'Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone' in 2002 and have released prolifically since then, putting out seven EPs and five more albums – with their latest LP effort 'Heaven' on the way.
Now, following their 'Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me is Gone' 10th anniversary tour which took place earlier in the year', they've lined-up this intimate show at London's Village Underground as well as an Autumn UK tour.
June 12th - Village Underground, London
Oct 27th - HMV Institute, Birmingham
Oct 28th - O2 ABC Glasgow
Oct 29th - Vicar Street Dublin
Nov 1st - HMV Forum, London
