The Bristol Summer Series is a pop and rock concert series that takes place in Lloyds Amphitheatre, Bristol in June.

First taking place in 2014 and set up by the people of Metropolis Music, the first event saw The Pogues headline, alongside some of the names from The Big Reunion - Five, B*Witched, Damage, 911, A1 and Honeyz.

Bristol Sounds is a concert series held at Canons Marsh Amphitheatre.

Launched in 2017, it has hosted performances from the likes of Manic Street Preachers, Bonobo, Craig David, Self Esteem, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Paolo Nutini, Elbow, Mika, The War On Drugs, Jungle, First Aid Kit, Hacienda Classical, Jacob Collier, Tom Misch, Bloc Party, The Cinematic Orchestra and more.

Bristol Rovers formed as the Black Arabs in 1883, in the Eastville district of the city. The name of the club was derived from the black team shirts and a rugby club known as the Arabs, who played on a nearby pitch in East Bristol.

They became known as Eastville Rovers in 1884/85, with a further name change, to Bristol Eastville Rovers, coming at the start of the 1897/88 season. The name Bristol Rovers was adopted at the start of the following campaign.

The Memorial Stadium is the home of Bristol Rovers Football Club, and their main rivals are city neighbours Bristol City, with whom they contest the Bristol derby.

They've twice reached the final of the Football League Trophy, but finished runners-up on both occasions.
