The Blackout are a rock band from Merthyr Tydfil.

Formed in 2003, the band found huge amounts of success within their scene with the release of their debut album 'We Are the Dynamite' in 2007. They went on to become staples of the genre in the UK, going on to land support slots on tour with the likes of Funeral for a Friend, Reuben, Fightstar, The Used, Pierce The Veil, blessthefall, Hollywood Undead, You Me At Six, Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday and Paramore.

They put out a total of four studio records, with the most recent being 2013's 'Start The Party', before announcing their split in 2015. The band's members went on to focus on separate projects, before confirming their reunion in 2022.

I seen the blackout in coventry on 25th jan and I have to say it was the best night of my life. I have always loved the blackouts music, getting to see them live was just amazing and awesome!!! The whole atmosphere of the night from everyone just made it even better. I will most definitely be seeing them again and again whenever I can! Just love all the guys and hope they are around for many more years to come!
